GHOSTER
West Seattle, WA
Responding to an open call put out by The Groove Zone for new artists, Ghoster's lead singer Erik Spicer submitted a track for consideration; within a matter of a day or two, and he was informed that Ghoster was being added to the station's rotation immediately.
The Neo RetroFM project has showcased local and regional talent since its launch in 2020. Phase 2 sees the addition of a couple of Seattle-area bands, with Ghoster among them.
The band consists of Spicer on guitar and vocals, Brent Durst is the bass player, Mark Marsden on guitar, and rounding out the lineup is their own Mad Hatter, Nick Schultz on drums!

BUZZFACTOR
Seattle, WA
Gene Devereaux & Dustin Dobbs are the core of Seattle's Buzzfactor, a band with a solid rock foundation. Buzzfactor was brought to the attention of The Groove Zone by Martin Reed (MTR Project), and after a few listens of the initial batch of promos, they were brought on regular rotation on the station as featured artists for Phase 2. Their latest single "Hollywood" dropped on the music market the same day as their first appearance on The Sessions w/ Dj D-Phoenix, which aired on Friday May 7th, 2021.

The casual observer might almost think there was an MTR Project fanbase at The Groove Zone, simply because of the amount of coverage they've received since their first song was played on the station in the summer of 2020.
There's no doubt that the DJ crew are fans of Martin Reed and the gang. The new album is due very soon!

The station's "unofficial" talent liaison TY WULF has done it again! Recently, Ty introduced the DJ crew to the solid music style of EMMANUEL SIMMONS.
He's got a diverse sound, ranging from singer-songwriter heartfelt songs to upbeat pop/rock-oriented tunes in his growing catalogue of material.

It's entirely possible that THE BOSS MARTIANS are literally out of this world!
The challenges of making contact with The Boss Martians were astronomical, and arranging a meeting of the first kind with the elusive bunch from Tacoma, WA proved even more difficult.
Will there eventually be a sighting? Will contact be made?
Only time will tell.

QUASAR STARR
CITRUS COUNTY, FLORIDA

He has a growing fanbase around the world, a laidback attitude, and a rap-attack style that strikes a chord in music fans everywhere. Quasar spent some time behind-the-scenes at DJDP Productions while he was in the Pacific Northwest in early August 2020. Almost an instant favorite off the DJ crew, Quasar Starr's hot catalogue of tracks was added to the station's regular rotation. His music can be found online on YouTube and Spotify, among others.
WEBB-HILL
CENTRALIA, WA, USA
Webb-Hill hails from the Lewis County area of southwest Washington State. Somewhat enigmatic, this brand new rapper/musician is still a bit of a mystery as of this writing. To the untrained observer, it seems he is in a constant state of reinvention, like a musical preacher without a pulpit, but with a powerhouse message to deliver.  Between his rugged good looks, heart of gold, charismatic personality, and the rapid-fire vocal assault that pricked up the ears of the DJ Crew initially, Webb-Hill is going to be one to watch.
Se[tember 3, 2020 was the release date for the single "Freedom", by Australian rapper Trigz. The track featured vocals by Webb-Hill and Young Vizzy, and can be heard on YouTube.
HEAVY ROTATIONS
Some artists "graduate" from "heavy rotation" to "station rotation" for different reasons.
Even though artists like Quasar Starr and Head Stash were both played during the station's first season, neither of them had been "featured", that is until the second season. Mountain Head, Rosborough and Forget Me Not are some of the artists that would continue to be played on the project, as all three acts were still on the rise in their careers.

MTR PROJECT
MTR PROJECT (Seattle, WA) is a "supergroup' of sorts. Frontman/vocalist Martin Reed is joined by Andy Beech on guitar (Zakk Wylde/Ozzy/Prince), Mike Hommel on drums (All Hail the Crown/Shawn Smith/Francis Nash), and *Dave Rees on bass guitar (Malfunkshun/ Skin Diver). Given the honor of helping promote the band's first batch of hard-hitting tracks, Neo.Retro.FM has taken on the role as the first network to boost the MTR Project to a worldwide audience.

BEN RUHL (BLUE MAN GROUP)
Hailing from Olympia, WA, Ben Ruhl started his professional musical career in Seattle back in the early '90s, during the heyday of "grunge". His achievements include a 13-year run as a member of Blue Man Group, the percussion-heavy world-famous troupe that features the trio of blue-skinned "outsiders", recently bought by Cirque du Soleil. Since his departure from the Las Vegas-based BMG shows,Ben has been creating his own incredible brand of music. TY WULF (REBEL SKUM, MAVERICK IC)
Ty Wulf is a young powerhouse vocalist/musician from Grays Harbor County in Washington State, aka Kurt Cobain's stomping grounds. Ty has been unofficially announced as the main Talent Liaison man for DJDP Productions by DJ D-Phoenix (Olympia WA). It was Ty who was responsible sending no less than half a dozen local artists and bands to the DJ to check out, resulting in the addition of four of the project's show hosts (DJ Wagon, DJ E.T., DJ Kathleen Fanna, FMN's Amanda Jane). Ty is better known as the frontman for Rebel Skum and Maverick IC (his experimental side project), as well as his disarming presence.
