NEO RETRO: SEASON TWO PLANS
THEY WERE GETTING THINGS PREPARED FOR A SECOND SEASON...
By early December, things were beginning to line up for a kickoff to the second season of The Groove Zone's NEO RETRO online radio project.
Tentatively, the new season was scheduled to begin during the first week of January 2021.
There were, at that time, just a few minor changes happening. The two shows streamed LIVE each week out of Boise Idaho were both moving to later time slots on their respective days. "Quantum Beat Radio" w/ DJ Wagon, and "Brain Bleedz" w/ DJ E.T. would have showtimes later in the evening.
The station's first season ended shortly after the 2020 Black Friday weekend was over. There was a small hiatus planned between the seasons when the resident DJ D-Phoenix had a health scare. Once the lab results came back negative the decision was made to move forward with another round of programming.
Prior to Covid-19, radio program seasons lasted about 4 months or so; with things happening the way they did with the pandemic's restrictions, Season One was extended almost 2 months longer than normal.
There would be an ad campaign launched closer to the new season's premiere, so fans and listeners could turn to the various associated pages on Facebook for more details as they were released.
Currently, the best way to catch up on past episodes of Neo Retro's inaugural run is to find the episodes on Buzzsprout, Podomatic, Soundcloud and Spreaker. Using the sites' search engines, use keywords DJ D-Phoenix, Neo RetroFM, Neo Retro FM, The Groove Zone to locate the archived clips.
